What is co-creation web design?

Co-creation and co-design refer to the process of working with customers to create something. A great example is Ikea which offers the opportunity for customers to work with the design team to create and develop new products

We also offer the option for business owners who want to a more hands-on approach in creating their website to work in a more collaborative process with us as web designers. We have witnessed the powerful impact that the co-design mindset, approach have had on the outcomes of the work we have accomplished for our clients and empowering them to take their website further.

We have found co-creation works well for the following clients:

The entrepreneur

The entrepreneur who wants a start-up website that may have can be changed quickly often appreciates the co-creation option. Involving the entrepreneur in the website creation process empowers them to be able to make changes on their website and evolve as their business changes, grows and develops.

The artist or creative small business owner

This option works well for artists who have a design already in their mind's eye.

They have the option to design on the page with the page builder or provide the design to the web designer. The web designer takes care of the technical side of things. The artist may want more control and options that some of the other website builders offer including performance and SEO.

The budget-conscious small business owner

This is a popular option for the budget-conscious small business owner who wants to do a lot of the work themselves with assistance and tutoring from a professional web designer.

If you want an affordable website, a self-installed WordPress site is a better place to start than free website builders such as Wix or Weebly. WordPress is built around a core set of features, quite sufficient for a basic website. It will also offer the capacity to add functionality, improve your search engine optimisation, custom design, unique content and social media integrations, RSS feeds for Newsletters, etc. when you need it later on.

There are a few barriers to entry which can easily overcome when you hire a professional to get you started. How much professional help you will need will depend on how technically skilled you are, if you are willing to learn new technologies and how much time you have.

What our customers say...

ivy and bloom landscape website

I got amazing feedback on the website. Your video tutorials were brilliant and allowed me to make the most of my (tiny) budget by learning how to do much of it myself. And it was fun! I’ve really enjoyed the process and found you to be wonderful to deal with.

I’m busy recommending you to everyone I know.
