Website builders such as Wix, Weebly, Squarespace and others offer out of the box solutions for creating a website. Those solutions can be a great place to start. However, they are rarely sufficient as you grow. In the long run, they may cost you in time, money and potential. Thus they are not really “free”. A landing page is a single web page that visitors "land"  from a Google search, social media, or advertising. A homepage on a website is a landing page but there will be other pages in your website that people will arrive directly to from search.

In other words, landing pages are pages where they do not arrive at the page from another part of the website. Therefore, it is important to think about what your user wants when they land on this page. Also, you can not assume that they know any information from your website's other pages. The content of the page usually will be limited to address one question or one topic. You will want to know exactly who your target audience is for that particular page and what you want them to do for a certain action. You must meet them at their point of need and also address any objections they might have.
